Size 22 and She doesn't care if people think she's fat!

...“Our bodies tell a story, and everyone's journey is different, everybody is different, unique, and exquisite. The only problem is that not everyone one respects that or comprehends that we don't have to all look like a cookie cutter or perfect picture of "health."
“Why be our own worst enemy? Even if you don't have a partner to dress up (or take it off) for, do it for yourself. Our relationships with ourselves and our bodies are the most important ones we will ever have.”...

Designers' Tiny Sized Samples for Curvy Celebrities

Not all celebrities are size 0! Some of those are curvy such as Adele Laurie or Sofia Vegara but designers unrealistically sent size 0 dress samples to them; here what Sofia Vergara spoke at last night’s Gordon Parks Foundation Awards Dinner:

Lingerie Colours Meaning For Plus Size Women

Gone are the days when self-conscious full figured women sneaked to the sleepwear counter, for fear of being noticed or shying away from their boy friends or partners. Today, a voluptuous figure, with nice curves, buxom busts, alluring cleavages, and full butt are far more appealing and feminine, especially in plus size lingerie. Most men find a handful more enticing than bony elbows and thin legs. So you can take pride in your bounties and be a nonchalant exhibitionist and flaunt with flair and flamboyance in your babydoll sleepwear! Welcome to the world of plus size lingerie!

The timeless black coloured lingerie can make the wearer look tempting and seductive. Black satin plus size lingerie can accentuate the texture of your skin, driving your man wild with craze, wanting to rip apart the fabric and yet be toying with the sheerness of the beautiful color! Black is the color of night, promising dark secrets; an enigmatic color that veils the ultimate truth, yet tempts the seeker to approach his goal with much apprehension. Black is also an adventurous color.

Ever thought of white lacy, frilly plus size lingerie? Brides wear white lingerie in their first night in many countries, because white color is the symbol of purity, virginity, softness, innocence and perfection, the color has been an all time favorite amongst young women for eons! Complementing your creamy skin, or balancing the dusky hues of your complexion, nothing can bare the secrets of your ample busts and also the hidden recesses of your body like a silky white sheer plus size chemise lingerie!

Some real women who have a full figure choose lavender, turquoise or plum coloured plus size lingerie because the colors conceal, yet concurrently reveal the tempting curves. They not only cloak the curves, yet leave much to a man’s imagination, stirring up the strong emotions of love.

Add spice to your honeymoon with a red babydoll! As a rule, guys tend to like sexy, red, lacy lingerie. This is different from what women tend to go for, which is usually something really girly and feminine like pink coloured night gown. Plus size lingerie in cherry red, blood red, crimson all spell nothing but delightful craze, highlighting the seduction of your curves.

Be confident in what you wear, how you wear it. You have beautiful curves and you know that, “When a woman feels good and passionate in what she's wearing, it will show on her appearance!” You will seduce your partner in no time with your new look in your sexy and stylish lingerie.

Jessica Gomes and Criticism about The Model.

It is hard to become a popular model but it's even harder to accept non sense criticism from some people in the fashion industry. Jessica Gomes is not an exception, the beautiful bombshell Sports Illustrated swimsuit model who has been admired by all over the world men for her curves. She is the new David Jones ambassador for their new season spring/summer 2013 fashion launch; at the catwalk show, there were some criticisms among the guests about her stretchmarks as well as her curves. It's really ridiculous that the critics think Jessica is an over weight models! Off course if compare her with stick thin models, she has more flesh and curves than them, and people who were invited to most of fashion catwalks getting used to see itsy bitsy models. It's why they made bad remarks when they saw her. In my view, she has a perfect body with perfect curves that make her stand out of the model crowd. "When you're young, you want to fit in, you want to be accepted and you're still trying to find yourself and what type of person you are. Now I just feel really comfortable in my own skin and really at the end of the day, I've found a balance with my life that if all was to go away, I'd still be a really happy person." Jessica said and I totally agree with her. No matter what shape or size you are, be happy in your own skin and remember one thing: you can never please everyone so just please yourself

Miami Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Swim 2014

As usual, the Miami Mercedes Benz Fashion week swim 2014 mainly targets slim and young girls but from the event, it gives me some trend indication for my next summer Curvysea plus size swimwear collection.
There is a variety of summer swimwear at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Miami Swim 2014.  This time, designs are combined between modern and vintage, from skimpy Brazilian typed bikini to high waisted swimming pants; patterns and colours are also varied between designers:  From geometric patterns for one piece swimsuits and two piece bikinis (Cia Maritima collection) to beautiful colour mixed prints of kaftans and two piece from Caffe Swimwear Summer 2014.  Aqua Di Lara show included cut-out one piece monokinis and daring bikinis in vertical mixed prints. At Beach Bunny, sheer kaftan and tiny tweeny swim bottoms steal the show. Animal and tribal prints are still shown on different designers’ collections such as in Mara Hoffman’s show (South East Asia tribal) or in Cia Maritima’s design (animal print). Polka dots on two-piece Marilyn Monroe’s styles come back in trend as we can see at Nicolita’s show.

Plus Size Swimwear: Flattering One Piece Swimwear for Real Women

According to a recent survey for plus size swimwear, the majority of plus size women prefer one piece swimwear to two piece swimwear. What is the reason for a plus size woman choosing the one piece? Mary, mother of three, said: “With one piece swimsuit, I feel more secure as I have a large tummy and the suit flatters it by tucking it in”

Claudia, 45 years old, likes one piece because she is tall and she has a large and long body “It’s impossible for me to choose two-piece bathers because of my long torso, most of them don’t even reach my belly button I do not want the risk of exposing my tummy budges while wearing them”

That’s why one piece is the best choice for plus size women. One piece plus size swimwear can come in different designs: simple and practical swimsuits; fashionable one piece or swimdresses; fashionable plus size swimsuits in one piece can have a V-shape neckline, bandeau or halter neckline with large straps to support a big bust.

Plus size swimdress has become quite popular for full figured women since the last few years. A flattering swimdress, which has empire waist, would help cover your big hips and thighs; or if you have no waist curve, a swimdress with flowing skirt would camouflage your waist, taking the main emphasis off your waistline and would make you look flatter and more attractive.

Solid colours or prints on plus size swimwear will depend on your shape and skin. There are some colours that plus size women can wear such as dark purple; red; emerald green; turquoise; navy. For the prints, stay away from bold prints on area/s that you do not want to attract the eye, say, if you have large hips or tummy, you would not want to wear a swimsuit with bold pattern/ bold flowers prints on the lower part of the swimsuit, instead, the big prints should be on the top part where you want to accentuate.

Armed with the above knowledge, you will not go wrong in finding a flattering plus size swimwear which would help you look more attractive and therefore you would gain more confidence at the beach or on your holidays.

Plus Size Swimwear Styles for Plus Size Women’s Shapes

Pear shape: You have larger hips & thighs than your bust and shoulders. Choose two piece plus size swimwear (Bright print on bust top and dark coloured bottom) or empire waist swimdress.

Heart shape:  Your bust and shoulders are larger than your hips and thighs.  Swimdress or skirtini would do the trick because it will hide the uneven body proportion.

Hour Glass shape: You have a curvy body. Your shoulders, bust and hips, thighs are similar in size except your waist. Tankinis with halter neck and dark coloured brief will help minimize your shape.

Boy shape:  with no waist and flat rear, broad shoulder.  Plus size swimwear in two piece (skirtinis) with halter neck will create curve and make you look more feminine.
