Controversy Over "Victoria Secrets' Perfect Body" Advertising
For years in fashion industry, designers especially well known brands never change their standard setting on so call "a perfect body' image. To them, the more a model looks thin, the more she looks perfect. It's why they give gen Z girls a wrong thinking that they must be very thin to look beautiful and many young girls starve themselves in order to get the prefect bodies!
I'm not here to judge who would look nice nor who wouldn't but today when I read an article on Yahoo!Style regarding the company (Victoria's Secret "perfect body" Ad. controversy), Julie Sygiel, the founder and CEO of Dear Kate said she wanted "to represent as many different shapes as possible,”
I think we, as designers, should create fashion for different shapes or body types, and I call that "realistic fashion design"

Sizing Problems for Women's Clothing in Australia
Yesterday I watched the Current Affairs about the problems women have faced when they shop for their clothes size at different shops or at department stores with different brands/designers. Not only Australian sizing is inconsistent, the problems are all over the world especially when people shop for their clothes over the internet; it would be difficult for having an international sizing standard for all countries; it's why I wrote articles, videos ( http://youtu.be/PoAHh-lpjMI ) to give plus size women some tips on how to buy a good fit swimsuit online.

Designers' Tiny Sized Samples for Curvy Celebrities
Not all celebrities are size 0! Some of those are curvy such as Adele Laurie or Sofia Vegara but designers unrealistically sent size 0 dress samples to them; here what Sofia Vergara spoke at last night’s Gordon Parks Foundation Awards Dinner:

What on Earth This Designer Designs?
Today when surfing the net, I stumble on a German designer 's models pictures. Patrick Mohr sent models down the runway with fake whiskers and bald heads for his spring/summer 2011 show at Berlin Fashion Week.
His models look very weird and stick thin like skeletons. They look so sick. Would you have to be like his models to wear his designs??? I can not find any art or beauty in those styles. Unique design does not mean to be weird or ugly. Would you agree with me?
My philosophy in fashion design is simply stylish, feminine, trendy and realistic that can apply to any ordinary woman. I make swimwear in real size for real women who are the majority in our society.

My New Website Curvysea.com
It's the time to give Curvysea online boutique a new face! I decided to hire a professional web developer to replace the old website to a new one. The new website still has a main purpose to target and to serve plus size women in the fashion/clothing market. It looks more beautiful, wider with larger product images and easier navigation.
The shopping cart, however, is required more steps during the check out to help customers retrieve their details later once they go through the whole check out system. I am not too keen on this system because it creates more work for customers but I hope they will understand and get used to it.
So far the new website is up and running, I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Beautiful Women With Curves!
It is incredible how God creates people, like our women we come in completely different shapes and sizes: tall, short, thin, large. It is society, media and the fashion industry which set criteria on what so call “beautiful “or “ugly” women. I hope plus-sized women to break loose of society’s unrealistic thoughts and views of who they are.
I want them to know that they are beautifully made by God. They should love and believe in themselves. They should know that they are capable to achieve whatever they want to achieve, just like anyone else. Sizes have nothing to do with it. An important factor is that plus size women should always maintain a positive appearance and there are plenty of tips and tricks on how to flatter their look. Beauty comes in all sizes, so ladies you should enjoy being who you are. Do not try to look like someone you are not; also do not compare yourself to everyone else. As long as you are yourself people will love you for that. Do not be disappointed that you don’t look like some pretty celebrities in fashion magazines (most of their pictures are fixed by photoshops anyway). You are unique and beautiful, so be proud of who you are!
