Khloe Kardashian Body Size and Fashion Stylists

“People actually said, ‘I just can't work with you’ - because I was too big,” Khloe explains. “That always hurt my feelings.”

There are still many designers or stylists in the fashion industry want to choose their ideal models who is size 0. Khloe Kardashian is 1m78 and her weight's currently 58 kgs

According to BMI calculator http://heartfoundation.org.au/your-heart/know-your-risks/healthy-weight/bmi-calculator Khloe is underweight, her ideal weight should be 59-79 kgs; it means that her previous weight (she said she lost 30 pounds = 13.6 kgs) was a healthy weight!

“I definitely think the fashion industry, and people in general, look at me more now that I’ve lost weight,” she explains. "Even on shoots, I would never have options for clothing. There would always be this attention on Kourtney and Kim, but I was too much work for [stylists] or they had nothing in my size."

When I started Curvysea plus size swim wear, I kept in mind that average women's size in our community is size 14 plus, especially, my best friend, whose size is 18, is an inspiration for me to design the plus size swimsuits line. I've chosen models who have full body figures and who represent the majority of women's size in our society. I hope more fashion designers will look at this sizing factor so they will be more realistic in choosing their models.

Changing Trends in Model Industry for Plus Size Women

For years, the body image perception in the fashion industry is never changed, despite having stick thin and skeletonized bodies, female models are considered idols for many young girls and they literally starved themselves to achieve the goal of being skinny.

Some years ago, we hardly saw models on run ways or fashion shows whose size were more than size 6; but then designers started to realise that there was a big demand in fashion markets for plus size women and it was a huge opportunity for them to cater this demographic market; and of course, they have had to choose curvy models to show case their designs.

, Robyn Lawley who has become a pioneer in plus size modelling, the 25 years old, six foot tall and size 16 model also is the first full figured model to appear on the Sports Illustrated: Swimsuit edition.

Recently, Tess Holiday (based in the USA) a rising plus size model star and who got female audience cheering and applauding when she was walking on stage. She‘s proven that modelling is not only for size 0 but also for plus size figures: the size of at least 50% of women in the society.

Plus Size Models Finally!

Finally, fashion designers and fashion magazines have adapted a reality i.e. to use models in plus size for their business! As I've always thought, it's quite nonsense and unrealistically, designers used size 0 cat walk models for showing their styles whilst the majority of women in society is in size 14 and above! And for women's fashion magazines, most of their audiences are full figured house wives with kids, these plus size women would never see themselves wearing styles as in pictures of stick thin models.
